The role
The Senior Market Operations Specialist is the engine room of our market operations. You'll own the day-to-day processes that keep Tenco and our clients running smoothly and compliant — the setup of Embedded and Customer networks, ICP applications with local networks, market communications, and coordinating field services with our metering and field service providers. No two networks, and no two days, look quite the same.
Accuracy is everything here. Our systems are audited annually by the New Zealand Electricity Authority, and the information you maintain flows through to our clients' billing, reporting and compliance obligations. You'll work alongside our Market Operations Manager to support Tenco's compliance and audit programme, and you'll be the person who spots a process or system gap before it becomes a problem.
What you'll bring
To be successful you'll need to be analytically and numerically inclined, with an eye for detail and an aptitude for picking up new systems quickly. Experience in the electricity or a similar utility industry is essential, along with the confidence to deal directly with retailers, distributors, regulators and auditors. Strong problem identification and resolution skills, a can-do attitude and a commitment to team-work are a must.
Power BI, Excel, basic SQL and Salesforce are the main tools of the trade, so we're ideally looking for someone proficient across these.
You'll report directly to the Group Chief Operations Officer and work across multiple areas of the business.
